First of all, I want to say how awesome you ladies are! I'm soo glad to have found this board, because I had no idea how many other women we're as obsessed(well, not obsessed but you know..)with extensions as i am. Not only do you guys give great tips and helpful advice, but you are all genuinely sweet and interesting people. I'm not exactly new to the board(i've been lurking for quite a while!). My name is Gina, I'm 17 years old, and i've been wearing extensions since i was 15(lol!). I started with clip ins then started installing my own wefts using liquid gold. My hair is just about an inch past my shoulders and I haven't worn extensions in quite a while. I had purchased hair in 613 from yourhairshop(excellent service, btw!)around christmas and it turned out to be too light Don't you ladies absolutely hate it when other people find it necessary to touch your hair just because you're wearing extensions? Ugh! I do! Oh and I'm planning on installing my wefts next week because it's spring break and it'll give people a chance to forget about what my real hair looks like(lol). I'm kind of nervous about doing it because it's a new school and people already know what length my hair is now and I'm scared of the reaction(especially one of my male teachers..he's gonna have a field day with the miracle grow, etc. remarks). Should i just go for it and say what the heck? Also, can anyone pleaseeee give me a color description on 22/27? Sorry, i know it was a lot to read! lol.. Thanks soo much! xoxo |

Hey! Welcome! I definately think you should go for it. I constantly have
co-workers and client making comments. I just laugh, I think it's funny. It's something..."unique".... about me....haha, of many things. One girl once said It's cool you always have different hair every week, so if I ever feel like, ugh, I don't want to go to work, I just think, I wonder what Melissa's hair will be like today! A bunch of us will get together and lie to the new people when they ask about my hair. I tell them I just take special pills. 
My point, have fun with it!!!! Don't be embarassed about it! Haha, and, btw, I kinda like it when people touch my hair when I have extensions. It makes me giggle.

lol you're so right. Some girl said something like that to me once and it made my day. For everyone who has their remarks, there's always the ones who are like fascinated by my hair. K, and you're right about the touching too. But what absolutely bothers me is when people want to see where they're attached! lol. btw- i saw your pictures when you posted your pink clip ins and you are so pretty! I love the clip ins you did a really good job. Hmm...I think i'll try that with my 613's. |

Thanks! Yeah, I just love the extensions, and people are always so in
awe and impressed by them! The only thing I hate is when my bf wants to rub my head (which I love normally) but when my extensions are in, I'm always like OH, OW, OUCH, ok, get out, STOP OWW! Haha. But he never does it when my extensions are out! 
Yeah, the clips are fun, I've made a few more, it looks even better. You could definately do that with 613's. I'll have to post pictures of the blonde on the bottom I do with clips. Might give you some ideas!

Hi Gina, I was really excited when I found this message board to.. its great.. nice to meet you, I think i had my first hair extensions at 17 ---you said the 613 was to light, i have the 613, 24 and 27 in my hair the 27 is more of a darker golden blond, alot like a strawberry blond but a darker blond it matches my low lights really well, the 24 is a medium/light golden blond, it matches my hair perfectly, i really don't know that the 22 looks like in comparison to the 24 but looking at pictures on line it looks really close, either way its darker than the 613 .. sorry i can't help you more, i plan on posting pics soon so maybe that will give you an idea what the 27 and 24 colors look like in comparison to the 613 that i have in my hair
