Are you wearing Plastikhaar by chance?

Mine did very well with velvet rollers but I hardly every used them except when I wanted big, fat curls.

Other than that, there's a technique called "boinks" where you divide the hair down the middle in the back like you're doing ponytails and either pull forward or pull upward and twist the hair into a spiral. Secure the long twist with some cloth bands (scrunchies?) before bed and when you wake up, you'll have a tousled head of loose waves.

I think there is stuff you can buy too (I haven't had any real success with
any of them) that you roll your hair up in this tube thing and bend it up
and let it dry.

Have you tried just putting some curling gel or something in it and
scrunching it??

I thought the large hot rollers works wonderfully on monofibre!

As for frizzy ends, I found that once a week or so, I'd have to stream the ends straight to keep it frizz free.  That was the biggest drawback to monofibre, I think.

I'm now wearing thermofibre, and the only problem I have with it is trying to keep a curl in it.  I do find that  rolling it in rollers and then streaming it works best.  I'm doing experiments on what works best so I can advise people when I start selling it.

yaaay ive achived my waves using the methord amm told me (only without going to sleep just left it up for an hour or two) along with a curling gel and some hairspray and volia!! waves without the dry frizzyness  .... just hope they stay this way on a night out with me getting drunk dancing and swinging my hair around

btw another thing about using curling tongs is that you could really tell what was my hair and what wasent because the monofibre separated itself so it looked like i had lots of long brown strings falling from my head not a curtin of hair
