Hey there, I was watching a makeover show this weekend and the hairstylist used a Boar's Hair Brush on wet hair while blow drying. In an ongoing effort to make my hair super smooth I was intrigued...but it IS a brush and it WAS wet hair. Does anyone have any knowledge or opinions on using a Boar's Hair Brush on wet hair? ------------- gwatt |

As someone who used to rip through my wet hair with brushes and combs I can tell you that yes it does break the hair. It doesn't matter what brush it is it's going to pull the hair. Especially when they are yanking on it to get it smooth with the dryer.

| Hmm. That's interesting. Everytime I go to my stylist she washes my hair first and then brushes or combs it. Being a professional shouldn't she know that? |

Combing is relatively safe for wet hair, but brushing is like .... think of a grid. I don't know how else to describe it. Think of it as a row of combs that is not lined up.
