Hey everyone!

Can anyone recommend a great salon in the Chicago area I am new to the area.  I am  currently wearing braids since August and my last relaxer was in July.  I would like to consider some options outside of the braids possibly getting a relaxer again or a press and curl.  Would I be able to get my hair pressed with the two textures of hair w/o breakage?

Thanks for any suggestions you my bring

Segdwick's or Sedgwick near Hyde Park High school is pretty good.  It's near the corner of 63rd and Stony Island, across the street from YWCA or is it YMCA.  Parking over there sucks but give it a try.  Start off with a wash and go and slowly ease your way into a chemical styling.  Good luck.  Avoid Ossama salons.  All of them.

I visited Chicago when I was 17 and saw a salon called "Curl Up and Dye".

No idea on whether it was good or not, just thought the name was cute!
