thanks chick i went almost to the top and did the last two rows with minute strands and half size shr***ies  then right at the top i scattered a few extensions just to keep the top from standing up and to blend her own hair in. she has just contacted me to say that she has shown all her friends and they all want it doing now!!!

thanks ladies!! vykky they were just very tiny strands of hair, about half the size of a pre tipped strand. i wet down and blow dried the top to smooth it into her extensions and it stayed flat without the use of products. she has texted me again this morning to say she feels like she has a new lease of life with her new hair and has has a few admiring glances from men and women!!! i love this job, it is so good to make people feel good about themselves!!

How did you blend that very top short, short layer?

hi sammyjb i scattered a few small strands using 1/2 shrin***s around the top and eventually the hair stayed flat. you can just see them but only if you stand right over her head! i was actually amazed myself when i had finished as i had pre warned her that the top rows would probably be visible but they ended up being covered very well and undetectable.

So shrinkies do allow you to go tiny? Is that the benefit of them over fusion?

I'm thinking of trying them as I only hear positive things.

Great job.

hi again sammy jb i fully recommend shr***ies i find them really easy to work with and unlike fusion, the bonds are always the same thickness, very versatile and really easy to remove from the hair!! i find they dont damage the hair in any way and having encountered a bad fusion job on my own hair (causing me to have to cut them out it was that bad) and in the past removed several bad fusion jobs on clients, i really dont like the technique!! that is just my opinion though as i expect there are some really good fusion extensionists out there!!

Thanks leelou. I actually like fusion but I'm looking into shrinkies as well.

I've posted another thread about them so if you have any advice where to start, shop etc I'd really appreciate it. I'm not sure where to go.

Do you use Bohyme tips? Whats the best extensions wand?

Agh...HIJACK! Sorry...!

Hi leelou fantastic job. I just did my first client last weekend and it did not turn out like that at all.  She have short hair about 2 & 3 inches.  How many strands did you used.  If you don't mind me asking what did you charge her?  Again, great great job.

hi ladies ill try to answer all your questions at once!! i used 8 and a half oz of celebrity elite bohyme from my fantastic friend amanda whos on here too, i pre tipped them myself and used various thicknesses of tips to create the look. i used my old prostyles acrylic extensions gun as im so used to using it! i must have installed about 340 strands to get total coverage it took me 9 hours to do and i charged her a discount price of £250 as i had never extended such short hair and did not want to guarantee a perfect job just in case!! (im a bit of a perfectionist you see!) she is also doing me some free advertising, discounted tattoos and has already brought me several new clients since monday and clocked me up a lot of new business from her piercing and tattoo clients!
