I was wondering if anyone has used this hair from http://www.hotstrands.com - www.hotstrands.com
It obviously is a protac method... but I am interested in the quality of the hair and if last and doesn't tangel. It isn't human hair but you can use a blow dryer, curling iron or flat iron on it and they say it doesn't fade the color.

Anyone ordered this before? I love the fact that it is reversable and you can go lighter or darker just by flipping it over.

Currently wearing Elite hair  and protac tape from Amm..... this is pretty good hair.... haven't had any tangeling or anything.... thus far it is my favorite hair......FYI..the Glamour Hair french refined I had in before this...... it was a big rats nest after washing a few times.

I don't understand how it could be reversible. But, I remember seeing this
product in another post. If you try it, let me know how it works!

It has darker strands  with lighter mixed in on one side and if you flip it over the lighter is more noticeable with some dark mixed in. Just like we do with mixing colors I guess. It looks amazing.

I think it would be great for me because I mix my color and I am trying not to bleach my hair anymore because it is frying it. However I want that blonde and I wouldn't have to add cut wefts to each protac tape....  it will already be done for me. I can also turn the dark side up and put that on my bottom back and then turn the lighter side up for the effect. Sure would save time....just wish I knew someone who had tried this syn. hair.

Oh, okay, I see, it's about which color is more prodominant basically, that
sounds amazing. I couldn't see any price or anything, I am checking this
out a little bit more now, sounds interesting!

jeepgirl...have you tried wawa? they have a 27/613 and a 613. You could put two wefts together on one protac tape and create the same look for alot less money!

Wow, yeah, expensive for synth! But, if you just buy the kit once, and if
the hair actually holds up well, then you can just keep installing.

So if the hair is good quality, it seems really neat, if you get it, let me
know what you think! It seems pretty good.

Thanks so much Sherrie, and yes I can't stop reading the various posts. I have been really struggling with finding or inventing another method over the strand by strand hot fusion, and links methods which are the two I use the most. Acouple of things, I've just googled 'wawa thermal' and didn't get anything...so can you give me the site for that? Also, I keep seeing the term 'LG' referred to.What is that? I know I sound naive, and actually I've been wearing and doing extensions for over 25 yrs. but I've not been reading the boards, except for the Boutique Board (a link off of Dr. Locks site) to hear the latests news etc. I sure appreciate your advice.

sorry...I think we get so used to certain terms that we just shorten them automatically! The LG is short for liguid gold!

Check out ebay seller Vixen Wigs, she sells WaWa. Stick with the straight, the bodywave didnt get good reviews. I think http://www.hairsisters.com - www.hairsisters.com  or http://www.goldenmartbeautysupply.com/ - http://www.goldenmartbeautysupply.com/   might carry it too. Im working on a a deal to put Wawa on my website too.

heres a thread on the Wawa and if you do a search there are some that were awhile back

Thanks for the name Sherrie, is it usually that cheap?? I figured it was
close to the price of HH, just a wee bit cheaper, but that's like....REALLY
CHEAP!! Haha, maybe I need to switch to WaWa hair! My credit card would
be so happy!

Ok, so the only thing great about this site, I think, is that it gives you a video of how to install the pro-tacs.  The price is outragous for syth. hair, the only thing I would like to know is what brand of hair they are using.

Also, why do you think that they would start at the side and not the back first?  They didn't even say to line up your rows.     ???????

sherrie, went to bed thinking LG, LG, LG---then it hit me, Yip, Liguid Gold! I think abbreviations are fine especially since it looks like the majority on this board are extension savvy. I'm going to do a friends hair this week with the protac, or atleast the tape method. I noticed alot of different tapes out there but it seems protac is the prefered for the moment. I'm also wondering if I DIY and apply the tape to the weft if I should use hand tied OR machine weft?? Hand tied would be flatter. I'm just thrilled to not be doing strand by strand, using keratin adheasive for 4 hrs (300 to 400 plugs) or links for almost the same amt. of time and on top of it prepping the hair prior into pre-tips for either of the aforementioned techniques. Been doing custom color blending for years and spending all in all about 7 to 8 hrs in prep and application, for $300. not including the price of hair. People still balk at the price, but insist on having extensions. Oy-vay. I'm looking forward to your products and your website looks Great!  The Jessica S. thing is interesting, isn't it

Oh, so update on this reversable hair. Today I went to buy some synth. I
was going to get the same that I used for my clip ins and just install it on
the bottom this time. But, another color caught my eye. It was a blend,
which I don't normally get, but it looked beautiful. I just opened it up to
start sticking it on my protacs, and I realized it's reversible!!! Here's the
actual info:

Sassy 100% Futura Silky Straight 14" Color" F-1B/33

The one side is mostly black-ish, with a little bit of a reddish brown
showing through, and the other side is mostly reddish brown with a bit of
black. I will try to take pictures and post them.

It's beautiful, and so far (again, I've only had clip-ins) it's held up nice. So
I'm wondering if this is the same, or similar to the stuff they are selling
for a hundred more!

Oh, and it was only $10 for a pack (not sure how much is in the pack
though, I would say somewhere from 1/4 to 1/2 a pound.)

Yeah, I can never get the pictures working

It's pretty nice hair, I'm wondering if it will hold up well, but I have to wait
to install now because my elite was too gooey and was slipping out of the
pro-tacs Oh well, off topic, haha
