well...i wore microring extensions for 3weeks, i just never could get used to them being in my hair. someone i talked to said i must have done something incorrectly because she couldnt even tell hers were there, but i felt mine (mostly when trying to sleep) and when the wind blew im sure everyone was wondering what those tiny beads were in my hair. i had 2 tiny wefts of protac stuck in to see how i liked it for the past 2 weeks and they held so well and invisibly......so last night i took all the microrings out (frugality made me save that hair...for a rainy day )....ummm, the removal of them was a pain in the @ss but i got it done with minimal real hair corruption, however even with going slow and being careful some destruction did occur .
Protac installation with #22-14'' Bohyme. 1- single weft at the bottom, 2 double wefts above that (wefts secured together with LG),2 short strips on either side of my head. It took me about 2 hours, not too bad i think for my first time and i was unsure of exactly where i wanted them to go so i kept stalling to part and repart.
So ...........have a look at me !
Now my hair is as strong as me This is my Bohyme french refined, i blow dried along the Protac after i installed them so its got my hair a bit straighter, but that tiny wave is how my real hair normally looks. I took a couple of inches off the ends only. Usually i would want to cut this some more and add a few layers, but my kids begged me to leave it this long (they're so silly!)...we are going to the beach next week for the kids' spring break so i figured it would be kinda fun to leave it long through the week. However, getting used to suddenly having hair this long is really weird....just normal stuff like driving, i forgot to move that hair over outta the way at first!
lumpy at the top from my ponytail at the gym, no one would ever get to take a picture of me fresh from the gym (especially my hair) without me having these extensions to show off !
Finally, thanks everyone who gives advice (and those who ask questions !) on this forum, bad hair sucks and it does make women feel better to have a pretty head of hair. From my elderly patients to younger ladies, the best thing i can do for them is help them get a wash and set...its something i've always done for ladies who cant get in the shower or to the hairdresser, and its the one thing that years later they all remember.
Yay! its springtime!
