Hello everyone Im new to the forum and I have been following the good advice that everyone has been contributing to the forum.  My hair has started growing longer and I have had excellent progress.  My only problem is that my scalp  itches even though it is not dry.  I wash my hair once a week on Saturday with cream of nature shampoo and do conditioner washes every other day.  Could it be that I am washing my hair too often or I need to switch shampoos????

Hi Im thinking along the lines that you should perhaps try a different shampoo and conditioner to see if you experience  the same thing. Or is it the oil/ grease you use??

Personally im not a regular hair washer and this suits me as my hair thrives,, but some people do wash their har once a week and don't have itchy scalp.

it may that you need to try a different regime . If your hair styles and keeps well by washing it once every two weeks then give this go.

You might be allergic to something, either the shampoo, the conditioner or both.  Maybe you should switch to another product to see if it makes a difference.  Another reason for the itchy scalp could be that you need to get rid of product buildup by using a clarifying shampoo.  That helps a great deal for me.  I would try using a clarifying shampoo to see if that will help.
