Well yesterday I wanted to go into the hairdresser's to get layers. I should have been specific but she gave me long layers which now that I think about it made sense because my hair is nearly mid-back. I wanted short layers to begin with. So I thought whatever, and I payed the money. So anyways I got home and it started to really bug me that I didnt get the type of layers I wanted so I'm like, what the heck, I'll just cut some myself. So I cut some chin length layers all along the sides and the front but not in the back because I got scared seeing as I didn't know how to go about cutting the back as I couldnt see what I was doing. So after I'm done cutting the layer, I look in the mirror and was devastated. I had a chin length layer which looked horrible and you could actually tell I took scissors to it(it looks really choppy) and then this really long bottom layer! The two just totally contrast eachother. So the next day I decide to go to a hair dresser to fix the problem. And she says that since I cut the layer so short up to my chin I would have to cut off an extra 3-4 inches of hair to blend it, and then add more layers. I was not willing to do that at all, after it took that long to grow? No way! So I left the hairdresser still very depressed and still with the horrid layers.
Is there anything at all that I can do to fix this problem without losing the length. Everytime I look in the mirror I feel horrible. Any advice is appreciated
