A few months ago I colored/highlighted/re-colored all in the same day.  Needless to say, my hair was damaged.  My hairdresser gave me grief as she should have over it.

Fast forward to now.  I wanted a change and I was letting my short hair grow, and was at an awkward stage.

My hair dresser recommended I get a Tizzy Perm and she used the biggest rods she had.  When she took the rods out, I hated it because I felt like I looked like a white woman with a jerry curl.  I told her to cut it all out and that I would go back short.  Another hairdresser there said that I could straighten it back right then.  So that's what we did.  We ran another perm solution through it but combed it through.

My hair is so very dry, and when I dry it with the dryer it is so frizzy.  I have done a deep ION conditioner, a hot oil treatment, leave in conditioners, and I have even slept in the ION conditioner.  Nothing seems to be helping it.

What can I do to get my once healthy soft hair back?  Oh and my roots need to be done very badly, so that's another process that needs to be done.

Thanks.

I'm sorry I can't recommend any quick fixes. You can't get your original hair back. The only thing is to let your hair grow out and then trim off the damage. Do the best you can do for it during the meanwhile... Condition well and don't use heat or chemicals.

Hugs and blessings
