I must say I'm really curious about the No Poo (shampoo) method and wondering if anyone does this and has your hair flourished (or not) as a result. I've not tried it myself but would like to know what your regime if you no poo.

I don't do this...my hair gets dirty very quickly so shampoo is essential to me =( I'm also curious about this though...

Vanity,, Oh i should of said this,Yes washing hair with conditioner as opposed to using shampoo .

I love CO Washes.   

CO Washing makes my hair extra soft, moisturized and more managable. I CO Wash 2-3 times a week and Shampoo/Clarify once a month. My hair comes out clean with no buildup when I CO Wash. CO Washing has helped me retain more length as oppose to when I was using shampoo, and my hair grows faster as a result of frequent CO Washes, just another added bonus.

Thanks for this ladies, i'm really going to try it and see if this works for my hair. I'm actually hoping it will and my hair will benefit more from no poo.  Am I right in saying i just wash hair and scalp in my normal conditioner as i would shampoo. Do i need to clarify before? Any tips?

Yes I saw a big difference with co washes.  Shampoo just strips my hair dry and it used to take 2-3 days for it to recover!  I've given shampoo the ditch completely now and when I need to clarify I use African black soap and baking soda.  I know that some people rinse their hair with an apple cider vinegar/water mix too.

R2D2 - It sounds more appealing to me to ditch the shampoo completely as it strips my hair also and takes about 2-3 days  to go back to normal. After shampooing i have to moisturise, oil like crazy and put in cornrow before it retains its softeness yet conditioner works fab on my hair so its make more sense to rid the shampoo as this is the problem. i do this 5 days a week and shampoo 2x a week- if you use a very gentle shampoo there is not much difference but if you use a harsh one you can tell the difference immediately. With me being natural and wearing my hair out- it is neccessary to wet and condition it daily. I love cowashes i have been doing them for almost 3 yrs. now.
