My long hair is somewhat damaged and looks kinds "blah" at the ends.  I like razor cut styles but I'm afraid it would make my hair look frizzier and just accentuate the damaged appearance.  Should I just get a blunt straight cut or what?  Suggestions anyone?

Go for the blunt cut, try that for awhile and see what you like better.  My 2 cents.

Your ends look dull because of damage. As a stylist I'd suggest a razor cut every other haircut because it can start to look frizzy and unkempt if all you do is razor cut it.

If cutting 2 inches off will get rid of the damaged ends then cut that amount off. Also instead of just a blunt cut consider adding some long layers to the haircut as well to release weight and give the hair more volume.
