My hair is bleached to straw yellow then dyed very dark blonde. If I use color strip would it go back to the bleached straw yellow or would it still be an orangy color?

it would probably be a yellowish orange brassy color which is the underlying pigment at a dark blonde level. Color Remover works kinda like bleach in that it lifts in stages. It is just as caustic as bleach so it can damage hair and dry it out. Aftercare is important...use a moisturizing shampoo and deep conditioner daily to restore and maintain moisture and elasticity in the hair strands. What are your trying to do to your haircolor? Elaborate more so that we can better help you.

You answered my question. I was under the impression that color remover was gentler than bleach, but since they are both equally caustic, I'm going to stay away from both. My hair is actually bleached three times over, it took that long to finally get the color right. I guess I should have done my homework first. I'm using a protein builder/deep moisture conditioner with a plastic cap over it and it's helping a lot, my hair is fried after three bleachings in 1 month as you can imagine.I was actually trying to add highlights, but I'm not going to bleach a fourth time even just a little bit to foil in some highlights, I'm gonna wait at least 6 months.

Bleach is more damaging in my experience.  I've stripped my hair 3 times and it didn't cause half as much damage as the one-time bleaching did.  I think in my case it's because the bleach had to be left on longer to get what I wanted.

Strippers inevitably damage your hair...but I can't even tell by looking at or feeling my hair - and that's the result many people on this forum get.
