hiya girlies!

I'm getting monofibre hair extensions tomo...very excited..i initially wanted human but my hair is a bit over processed with straightening and highlights so my hair dresser recommended synthetic because they are apparantly less damaging ??(no glue used)

Im getting straight ones as obviously you cant use heat etc on synthetic but how do you curl them etc?

Can everyone please tell me their experience with these sort of extensions!!!!

you can use velcro rollers and you can also use a curling tong on LOW heat to curl them, spray the hair with water 1st though to make sur eyou don't singe it

I had monofibre hair extensions a few years ago and I had the bodywave ones, mine lasted ten weeks and they looked great.

i have been a prostyles exrensionist for 6 years and loved wearing them as well!! make sure the ends are razored slightly when you have had them installed as the hair can feel a little clumpy if cut bluntly and are a little prone to tangling if they are.always use a low heat on your hairdryer, you should get an instructions leaflet from your extensionist so everything you need to know is on that. unfortunately the demand for human hair is very high and so i hardly use this method any more, but the gun sure does come in handy for the shrink**s remi bohyme extensions i fit now on a regular basis. good luck chick!!

Hiya lasses!

thansk for replys

I love love them...but my hair is thin and I can totally feel the bonds at the top and feel like everyone can see them but my friend assures me she cant most of the time!

Also they feel a bit tight but I guess Im just not used to them yet! Do you just get used to that feeling?!!

I staighten my hair so I'm guessing its ok to seperate mine from the xtensions when washed so I can straighten my own frizz!!!?! How difficult is that?

But I am lovin having new long hair I feel lush!!! They are prohair extensions if anyone has had them??

Leelou, I never even thought about using my Pro Hair gun for shrinks!  That's a good idea. I love the Pro Hair method, but your right, not many people want syth hair.  I'm hoping that I can get clients to go for the thermofibre though...

it works brilliantly metalgirl and cos the tips are smaller than the proper shrink** tools it never ever catches the clients scalp!!

lilrurhuk you may find them tight for a few days but they should give. if you notice any lumps or spots in your hair just let your extensionist have a look in case some are installed a bit too tightly.
