I bought a pound of the virgin single drawn machine weft (they call it natural machine weaving), and it seems like a whole lot of hair! It came in 4 packs. I wanted 18" so I ordered 20". It IS 20", but the ends are extremely sparse. So I'd say I got a full 18". I did notice some split ends in the sparse last 2", but that can be trimmed off and the rest looks nice. So if anyone is thinking about ordering the same hair, order a few inches longer than what you really want. You can trim the sparse/split ends.
The quality of the hair seems at this point to be exactly what I'm looking for. It's not as thin/silky as Bohyme (which is way too thin/silky for my processed hair). But it feels smooth and healthy enough to not tangle and get too dried out. It's single drawn so I like that too. Double drawn is all one length and doesn't look natural on me. This looks very natural.
The wefts seem to have less hair than what I usually buy (beauty store "remy"). I will probably triple the wefts to make it thick. I ordered straight, but there is definitely some curl in there, but since it is virgin and not chemically processed to be straight, I can understand. They probably choose the straightest hair that they can.
I'm going to be bleaching some of it to different shades of light blonde and some to an undetermined shade of brown. I'm going to do it the same way Fina described in one of her older threads. I'll take pictures and let you know how it turns out! I'm way too excited/anxious/nervous!
