Hi,

Weaved hi-lights are small sections of hair, that you apply a colour to another colour to either break up a colour , or to blend in with another colour for a diffrent look. How it is done is by a pin tail comb, taking a section of hair , and weave in and out of the hair with the point of the tail comb, put into a foil and colour applied. I have added a picture to let you see the results.

That is absolutely the look I am going for. How thick a section of hair do I grab? How many sections total do I do and where is the best placement?

I had this done for years. I would recommend doing in in a salon unless you have some training at this. It is something that I could never acheive myself. My hairdresser did a great job, but she spent a long time seperating the strands and putting the foils in. As a result, the placement was perfect!

Hi

Definitely don't do this yourself. you need a salon to do this for you, even if you have some training. It is very difficult to try an do weaved hi-lights yourself. It takes me anything up to 1to3 hours to do a client, depending on how many hi-lights she wants. My advice is go to a salon.

I don't have to do it all at once. I can start out small, maybe 1 piece of hair on each side. If I mess up, since it's only a couple pieces of hair I can always restart again with traditional foils. You guys are probably right, I probably won't suceed but it's worth a shot.
