I'd like to get some feedback on colors for the thermofibre.  After going around and around with pricing, production, etc, the factory sent me their supposedly 'new and improved' color  ring for what they call their 'heat resistant/ fire retardant' thermofibre.  Their blonds and light browns are way too ashy (they look green or gray) and there is little difference between the #1b and #2.

I don't want to order a large amount until I can get these colors to my liking.  I don't know if the factory will customize colors for me, I asked and we'll see what they say.

Anyway, here's some pictures of the color 'offenders'.  They actually photograph a bit warmer than they actually are.  When compared to a human hair color ring, you can really  seen the  ashy  tinge  in the thermo colors.

Also they are not offering a #22 and their #24 is ashier and darker than the #24 human hair counterpart.

hey metal -

the pics don't look too bad? if they do photograph warmer then that's a pity........i usually wear color 10 or 12, and it stinks cuz wawa and all the other thermals seem to skip my range! having my color in thermo on a weft would be heaven.

It would be easier to compare if you photographed them with their human hair color counterpart.

Thanks guys for the  imput.  Once I get all these problems worked out, there will be a full range of colors.  I  color ring does have thermo in the #10 and #12 and those colors looked fine so I didn't post them.  My biggest problem is with the light blonds.

I just heard back from the factory about this problem and they will cutomize the colors from the human hair ring that I sent them for a sample. It will include mixed colors as well: 14/22, 18/24 etc.  It will just take them time the factory said to cutomize a color ring to my liking.

I think part of the reason why it's taking so long is that this factory, who produces mainly human hair, just this year purchased the factory that makes the thermo (they sell to AD) and they are trying to integrate this new facet of their business into their exsisting business.

Oh well, it's worth the wait!

For what it's worth, I *love* ashy colors!

My favorite Plasitkhaar colors are Hafer, Dunkelblond and Grauweiss!  I custom blended my own in these colors for my current install. I had to laugh when I read past posts about people having no use for Hafer when it's my absolute favorite and a perfect match for the natural highlights in my hair.

I haven't found a human hair brand that's as ashy as my natural.  I would love more options.

So, there really might be an untapped market for ash colors out there.  How would you say your ashy samples compare to these Plastikhaar colors?
