Hey can someone please help me out here? I normally have dark brown hair. I went to a salon and told her I wanted to go lighter with no red. She did a double process on my hair and the about 2 inches of my hair turned out reddish brown, but the rest came out dark on the ends. I am afraid to go back because I don't know what will happen if she tries to fix it. What can I do. I would just wear a ponytail and let it grow out, but I am getting alot of gray in my new growth. What can I do?

What she should've done was bleach your hair in the (gold) stage and put a ash toner if you wanted light brown highlights or carmeal.

If you wanted blonde bleach still to the gold stage or pale blonde depending which you like warm or cool tones.

Key is brown hair contains A LOT of red undertones and in order not to have reddish highlights you need to lift the red out. She probably just needs to lift you slightly lighter to get the red undertone out.

Also I wonder why your highlights are uneven. Was parts of your hair virgen and other dyed? Because that too can affect how your hair lightens.
