Most of the time salons or at least they should use the products that they are selling. Most  salons have different products but you can go to beauty supply places that sell (professianl hair products) Sally's doesn't sell (salon) brands at least mine doesn't.

You might want to check the internet and read up on reveiws on cetain salon products there are tons out there and since they cost more than your average store brand names you don't want to waste your money.

Rekin is popular, epecially in my salon , also I have dry hair because I have blonde highlights and I love dumb blonde by bed head. It is a super thick conditoner and helps my dry strands. Joico k-pak is great protein conditoner. Although it made my hair way to soft I couldn't even stye my hair.It wouldn't hold a curl or anything.Biolage is good but I still prefer bed head dumb blonde. That's all I can really think of right now I haven't tried many .

I try to stick with the same hair products but reading reviews the good and bad about hair products will probably help you decide which ones to use. Just because I like a certain hair product it may not work so well with another person , so you may have to experaiment.Eveybody hair is differnt.
