I am so excited and just love my new hair. Unfortunately, I do not know how to post the pictures. I do not have them hosted anywhere...can someone help me?

I wanted to show some before and after shots.  I had some mid grade human hair sewn in for the very first time.  I really like it, but next time I don't want the wefts so close to my temple area. I have collicks and the weft will show if I am not careful when I pull it back.

I am having to adjust to styling the new long locks, it is kind of hard to curl cause it is so long. COlor is ALMOST a perfect match #613. I tend to have more gold on top of crown and front. I would say for the vry first time that I am pretty happy. I would have had it layered more in the back though.

Rebecca

Thanks for adding the pix Sherrie!

I finally got the guts to take the scissors to my hair to add layers so it would blend better. I think it looks much better now and have sent SHerrie pictures of the cut I gave myself today.

I guess it doesn't look that good, since not too many people posted a comment. But I think it looks a whole heck of a lot better than that short hair I had before. I am sure that it will only get better the more I have it done and experiment with hair, methods, and cuts.

NO! it looks great :) honestly, the layering is really good! i would have thought an actual hairdresser would have done it. That really is great for a first time install!

I think it is very cute, I myself am scard of the blending, however one day will get in down. Going to start practising the blending on some cheap wigs & bss wefts ... You did very very well for a 1st time DIY install ;)

Rebecca,

I think you look great, and your big happy smile is the best of all! I know I'm smiling bigger in my pics these days now that I'm more confident about my hair.

Don't feel badly about not getting any responses right off. I was sooo nervous when I posted my first install pics. Sometimes this board gets so busy you can't keep up with it, and sometimes some people acually go off and have a life for awhile. Obviously, I'm not one of those people!

I remember when I first got my hair, trying to style it after having lived with a very short pixie for most of my adult life. I thought I'd never get the knack, but pretty soon it came easily. Now when I have my extensions out I see myself and think "yuck" and can't wait to get my proper hair back in!

Here's to the end of my BAD HAIR LIFE!

it looks really good !in particular i love your super-blonde hair and the face framing layers..............constructive criticism (because we all need that sometimes): the first 'after' pic from the side angle makes kind of an obvious 'shelf': that junction from the base of your own hair to the longer extension hair......now, that you've said you added some layers in, i bet you've solved that !    and i know how you feel, longer hair makes me smile too, in fact...when i remove my extensions to touch up my roots in the back i pretty much try to mentally block out noticing where my real hair ends because its kind of shocking after weeks of wearing longer hair (even though i know im just gonna stick it all back in !)........now, get some more after pics !!!Tongue

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I felt/feel so self conscious about the hair. VOming to work today was scary but everyone loved it and couldn't believe how natural it looked and felt...and yes, I did show a selct few how it was attached.

I just wanted to clarify that I did not install these myself. I wish I had the courage to try pro-tac...maybe one day. I had a stylist sew them in. He DID NOT make braid, but made tracks by tying hair with thread and then attaching them.

I have to say that while it hurt a little while he was doing it, I felt no pain or discomfort later or even that night sleeping on them.  Now that I am out in the open about my 'new' hair at work, I am going to start being more adventurous and put in contrasting color next time underneath.

Moff, I have to GOOGLE this person you say I resemble!

Can you take some pics of how your tracks look....I'm really curious how they do that method.

Thanks,
JeepGirl

Current install-Bohyme Bodywave #30 and #14 in the straight hair/ they didn't have the #14 in bodywave, so I mixed them...works great!
