Well I either braid my hair once a week- in the winter.  Take down braids, wash hair, then rebraid.

In the summer, especially because of exercise I may rinse my braids or twists in between time.  Usually I wash it monday, braid air dry wear a braid out then Thursday repeat everything over again.  Pretty much...my braids/twists get fuzzy within 2 days as if I wore them for weeks. But that's what I do.

YOur regimen sound great...I wish i could wear a style for a month...2.5 weeks was the longest for me

Alot of girls on here talk about braiding their hair to encourage growth. Everytime I braid my hair I find that it has damaged some part of my hair after I take the braids out. Anyone else get this experience? I just follow my shampoo and conditioning regimen, make sure I protect my ends and don't find braids necessary.

cmessweet i luv your regimen, and it seems that you wash your hair after you take out the extensions, i wash mine once every week, my african hair braider told me they usually wash once every two wks.

Chocomom, i love surge, it sprays on cool to the scalp and i love how my scalp is not dry when i use it, i havent seen any growth yet but i think its a wonderful product. befor i braided my hair on june 8, i used it as a leave in and leaves the hair, shiny soft but not oily and it detangles as well.

lady flash, you raise a good point with the breakage of hair. it will be a month on the 8th of this month with my extensions. i was told by robbin, http://www.growafrohairlong.com - www.growafrohairlong.com  to re do the braids around the sides and back of the hair. well yesterday i tried fixing them my self and one or two extensions seemed like they were matted or tied onto my real hair,  i will make sure to tell my african hair braider how i want the braids to be attatched on my second braiding session. I FELT MY HAIR PULLING UP AND OUT OF THE ROOT OF MY SCALP !
Another issue is that two ladies were working on my hair, one started on the back and the other did the front, im pissed but they are pleasant people, so  instead of blowing up in their faces, i will talk to them.

if braiding is not your thing, try weaving your hair every two weeks for a month os so, it grew my hair especially the back and top front! just make sure to deep condition, wash daily, and dont leave the scalp oily. my next style is tree braids.

@ http://www.hairboutique.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=25126&FID=24 - Luvlybelizean ... O sorry...I don't have extensions...i braid my own hair.  My hair is long and TOO THICK to remove extensions once a week.  My hair is super soft and when I wear it in braids it fuzzes quickly...sometimes one day can look like 3 weeks worth of wear.
