I feel really stupid...I mistakenly over bleached my strawberry blond hair. Now it's too light and worse...YELLOW! I look like I have doll hair! I have made an appointment for a color specialist as I don't want to make matters worse myself. I am scared to death that there is nothing that can be done to bring back the natural color or at least tone the yellow down?? I will never color my own hair color ever again. I did for years without a problem. Would appreciate any advice so I can relax and think there is hope. I really don't want to resort to a paper bag over my head. Thanks for any help/advice. I miss my strawberry blond hair...

well the good news is color can always be fixed. Anytime you bleach your hair as it lightens it pulls warm....which when you get to the blonde stages....yellow appears. It can easily be corrected with a pearl based color to tone that yellow to a beautiful blonde....using 10 Vol Developer and the proper Pearl Based Color to tone it. Depending on your hair's porosity and texture it should take 10-15 minutes to correct it.

Perhaps the most important thing you can do is deep condition and use a nice moisturizing shampoo on your hair for color treated hair and NO I DON'T MEAN PANTENE!

Spend the money on some nice professional products so that corrective work that you just paid good money will last longer. Let us know how ya make out.
