how long are they gonna last? how long until they lose their "crustyness". And when they finally do start to frizz, can i keep them in and have them still looking good?

I wash and retwist my hair once every 3 weeks. In between, I do conditioner washes 2-3 times a week. If I feel my scalp is dirty, I will use shampoo as well. Anyway, I start by leaving my hair in two-stranded twists (done on wet hair) for about 12 days. Then, I wear my hair in a twistout for a few days. After a few days, I do my hair in dry twists from the old twistout. After a few days, I undo for another twistout. Then it is wash/retwist time again! I keep them looking good by adding infusium 23 or Braid Spray on them everday

I think what you are describing is comb coils or finger coils.naani.com's natural hair library has image of finger coils.
