Can anyone point me in the direction of a weave demo?

I can't cornrow worth do-do, but I have been using my new Cindycut electric cable weave machine to make tracks. I'm still practicing with it, but at least on the doll head it makes beautiful, small, flat tracks. Sounds cool metalgirl, I've never heard of such a thing :) Very interesting! I got my first set of sew-ins today. We put 11oz of hair (bohyme again, I swear the 11oz is less length weftwise than I usually have with 8oz of other hair since the hair is soooooo long) onto 8 tracks. The stylist was awesome, and I'm so sad that she is moving to Texas next week (go figure, always happens to me lol). I'm really excited, mostly because this method hides most of my natural hair, which gets really frizzy and sticks out in a "fro" in the summer.......I have zero blending issues :D ------------- Wearing 22" 8oz Tease I tips installed with silicone microrings. |

There are great BASIC tutorials, and they are good tutorials if you have clients who will be leaving out 40-50% or their hair. Weaves using only horizontal direction tracks do not lay flat or look natural if you are wearing only 20% or less of their own natural hair out. The biggest key to mastering this technique is learning which direction/patterns to lay the tracks to get the most natural finished look possible. ------------- Check out the 5th So Cal offline luncheon?? Diva, that HisnHers demo is exactly the one I was after. I searched thoroughly believe it or not and clearly failed to find it!
What's the difference (apart from the obvious) of vertical or horizontal tracks?

BUT if you are wearing more than 80-90% of your own natural hair braided up, the vertical braids (with the weft sewn horizonally across the braids) actually gives a flatter more natural finished appearance than horizontal or circular braid patterns would. ------------- Check out the 5th So Cal offline luncheon?? Longhairaddict- Since you say your natural hair is frizzy and tends to stick out, next time you get a weave why don't you try a full weave instead of individual tracks?
