Hi guys, just a quick question for those who are familiar with great lengths and their bonding method.
If i was to take my own hair to a GL stylist to put it, would i be able to use liquid gold to pretip the hair? or would the 'glue" that GL use in their bonds break the liquid gold pretip down and cause shedding?

why would you need to pretip the hair with LG if you were using the great lengths menthod?

Its a fusion method, they use a form of ( i think) keratin glue on the bonds, so the LG would be pointless.

Also great lengths wont let yu use your own hair hun.
x

Thanks for your reply We only have two extensionists in my town lol one is GL and the other does crappy extensions. I know that the salon that does GL will do maintenance on clients that arent using GL hair (last time i was in a lady with european hair was getting hers reattached) so i figured they would probably do an install for me if i had my own hair-either using the GL bonds or microlinks (a salon would know where to place them to avoid the bonds being seen when i tie my hair up-otherwise id get a friend to do it).
But yeah, i was sure that GL hair comes in kinda "pretipped" strands, lol here i was thinking that ALL hair needed to be pretipped before being applied using fusion-man am i a n00b lol.

nope u just need to pretip it when your doing links or shrinks really. you CAN pretio before fusion, or u can just use a glue gun or use little pellets of glue XX
