im not gon b much help 2 ya b/c i havent had to deal with nappy hair, but i hear others say their hair start off nappy and become softer as they wave. they key is growin ya hair out and using a moisturizer to keep ya hair soft and tie it down when you sleep so it will lay down. others prob can give you better advice but thats just my expertise on the situation

when your hair is nappy it means that your hair is untrained. thats all so just brush with a harder brush and you will be fine.
