Okay, I know as much as I am on this forum, I should know this by now, but I'm still not 100% sure.
But what is Texturizing and texlaxing? I am assuming that you are using a chemical relaxer in the process, right??
 If anyone is texturized or texlaxed (are they the same thing BTW?) please educate me. Sounds interesting.

If i am correct- i have texturized- that is where you apply relaxer for like 3-5 mins so that you hair still has it's curl pattern but it is less kinky and a little easier to manage- this way you can still where it straight and curly with ease. Texlaxing- i think is not fully relaxing- so that you leave it on for less time so that you still have a wave pattern to your newgrowth but you don't leave the relaxer on as long as you normally would. ------------- Me and you, your cousin and your momma too rollin on da strip on bow's |

I believe it is basically the same(someone correct me if I'm wrong). I used to texturize/texlax awhile back, and it was never as straight as the girls with relaxed hair..and whenever it got wet it turned into a dry fro with some straight rigid ends. I hated it, so I just decided to quit all the damage and grow it out into nice natural hair. However, the good thing about texturizing was that it was so much more manageable than completely natural hair. |

I've been "texlaxing" for the last 3 years before knowing what that meant. I apply my relaxer to the newgrowth for about 10 minutes (which includes smoothing time) and it relaxes my natural kinks/curls about 50%. The result for me is stronger, healthier hair that is not straight. texlaxing is partially relaxing the hair. some even consider up to 85% straightened texlaxing. i've tried this before but my hair was TOOOOOOOO thick using this method and i found i needed relaxers sooner. try it out. texlaxing equals stronger hair which help prevent breakage. |
