Im just wondering, can leaving conditioner in your hair, using too much gel or wax, or any other products promote balding or thinning of your hair?

well it can promote build up, in which you need to use a clarifying shampoo to get that out or an Apple cider vinegar rinse which basically clarifys the same way. But thinning and balding i dont think so, id say thinning and balding is more so a genetic issue then anything else, along with stress, and heat ( blowdryers etc) ( people dont realize but heat is a serious damageing factor) and the sun.

oh ok, I was just wondering cuz sometimes I use paul mitchell CONDITIONER to style my hair and just leave that in my hair instead of using gel and I wasnt sure if any of the chemicals in the conditioner can damage the hair follicle??

i love leaving in normal conditioner on my hair. i do it so that it will be kinda like a treatment to my hair. it does work almost like a hair cream. if you have short hair like near your ears or just below your colar, you will have no worries about built up because you will be cutting it on 2 months anyway.
