Can anyone help me. I got my hair cut short and I hated it so I got braid extensions. I thought this would help the time go past until my hair grows more, but I fing this is not the case. My natural hair is starting to stick out of the extensions and looks terrible. I have been advised not to cut it, f I want my natural hair to grow longer underneath. I really want to keep my extensions as I love the look, and as it cost a lot of money. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have tried sticking it down with gel and hairspray but this doesn't work well. Thanks Karen

Hi Karen! I'm a professional hair braider, sounds likes to me your problem is 1. your hair is in a natural state, if this is the case, you would need to switch to a smaller braid. This will ensure that the hair is wrapped properly in place. 2. if your hair is not in a natural state, then if could be too short to braid using the regular technique, in this case the stylist would need to use the double braid technique. You shouldn't have to apply gels etc. to contain your natural hair in the braid. I hope that this info will help solve some of your problems.
