I'm at a loss ...  I live in Myrtle Beach, SC it's very humid here right now.

I like to work in the yard, swim, wear my hair up in the summer, and play outside with the youngins. Since summer has started I've used protac and bonding glue methods... both gum of course in this heat. I LOVE to have my long flowing hair in the summer but just need something that can withstand my abuse. LOL

Should I try sew in (I've done this method many moons ago)?  fusion? microrings?

HELP!  I know I'm asking a lot here... LOL
Thanks in advance!
Sheri

hi shedvl, im in Columbia SC.....i use Protac, but they havent broken down any quicker than they did when it was cooler, and we've been in the pool every day.....i just make sure to pat along each Protac well with a towel as soon as i get out and they've been ok

for me personally, i dont like the strand methods because i never could get used to the feel of them and wefts are soooo much fuller.....quite a few people here get sew ins and they look great

I'm in the middle of Florida...haven't had too much problem with the long flowing hair...just gets tangled a bit with the humidity...otherwise fine,a nd I keep a loop brush near me...when I'm active, I keep it in a ponytail, but I'd do that even without protac...today I went biking 8 miles, running 2 miles, and I was sweating like crazy, it was a bit matted, but after a shower, no problem at all...

nursie-

Do you get your hair wet for long periods of time in the pool?

I swam laps for about 1.5 hours two days ago, and the protac fell half out (thank goodness I had the hair in a ponytail, or that coulda been really embarassing)...I ended up having to pull the hair out with conditioner after my swim...it stinks because I'm training for triathlons...and I NEED to swimm, but I love my protac...I put them back in that night, but I'm swimming again on Friday (I was supposed to swim tomorrow, but I'm spacing them out more because my install this time is perfect!)...and I really don't want them to fall out again...do you use Liquid Gold at all, oor just protac (I just have three rows doubled up with two wefts - each protac that I used was cut in half - was thinking that maybe if I used a larger peice of protac??)...

Hello Shedvl. I am in Raleigh NC I have been wearing a sew n this summer. I have been down to Wilmington and swam in the ocean, been to the pool many times and outisde all day at parks and this method is great. I cant see my tracks when my hair is wet and it did not make the braids slip when I went in the pool. Just be sure to condition your hair well.

How crowded does Myrtle get on the 4th? I was thinking of going down this weekend but not sure if there would be any rooms available.  Do they have anything special going on?

tbctbc: i try to wait a week after i put in the Protac before i shampoo my scalp or get it wet at all...although sweating at the gym makes that pretty hard to do.....mine have held up well with prolonged swimming, we have a season pass to Carowinds so we live at the water park every weekend and im the one who cleans the pool at home....i used to use the LG just a dab on the edge of each row of Protac, but this install i just have Protac....hmm, one difference may be that i use the whole Protac, no half-tapes
