Is your avatar your hair? It is really beautiful! I am trying to achieve this at home--would it be possible? Any tips would be appreciated!

Thanks!/

Hi,
Yes, that's my hair.  Thank you for the compliment!
I'm naturally about a level 6N with approx 30% gray.  (At least that's what my roots have looked like lately...)
I'd been using Wella Color Charm 7N (tube) with vol. 30 cream developer.  I highlighed with foils, using Clairol Instant Whip with 20 vol. developer and the max. activator crystal packets recommended.
I've just started using Ion Color Brilliance 7N (tube) with 20 vol. developer on my roots... but I'm not sure if I'll stay with that or go back to the Wella.  (The gray seems to be peaking out a little sooner than I'd like, so next time I'm going to use the Ion color with a 30 vol. developer and see if that's any better.)
I get all of these products from Sally's.
How you can best achieve this look will depend on your own current hair color.  (What is your natural hair color?  Is it currently dyed or highlighted, etc.)
