My Hair right now is a caramel color but I want to go blonder. Not over-the-top Platinum blonde but a color that won't wash me out but still being a pretty light color, I'm thinking maybe kind of honeyish?

My skin tone is fair with some natural pink in there and my eye color is a light blue. I also have some medium brown roots that I haven't touched up for over 4 months because I wanted to decide on a new haircolor before I did that?
I was just wondering, should I go to a proffesional? Or should I save my money and maybe buy a good at home kit?

And also my hair's not really damaged right now but would it make a difference if I just put chunks in or should I go all the way and just dye it all one color?

 

I'm sorry if this post doesn't really make sense, I'm not really good at explaining these things, but I just wanted your opinions because I know you guys are good for that
