Hi, I have longer medium thinkness hair. I colored it two times before, and now it has gotten extremly dry. I want to let it grow longer, so I would rather not just cut the dry parts off. Please help me with any home remedies you might have for my dry hair......Thanks.....p.s. i colored it about 3 months ago with harsh highlights.

KikiTiki, highlights, especially when done at home have the tendency to either go wrong or make your hair dry or both. You might want to check with your hairdresser, but if your ends are split there is only one cure: trim them. Better now when the damage is controlable rather then later, because you want to grow out your hair. Depending on your natural hair colour you might want to think about highlights twice - the darker the hair, the more damage the highlights will do to them. You also might want to invest into a good moisturising shampoo and conditioner (check the hairboutique's product reviews for more information), get a deep conditioning treatment once a week and/or hot oil treatments. My personally preferred conditioner is Aussie 3 minute miracle, but this is a matter of preferences. Best would be to have a stylist recommend you a good conditioner for your hairtype, though.
Another thing: limit the heat styling of your hair to a bare minimum. It makes hair even dryer.
Good luck,
Leanan
