i have pale blonde highlights over a light auburn base that is bordering on strawberry blonde. i want to use Special Effects temporary hair color in the white shade, and was wondering if it would affect my base shade alot. i know that logically it will affect it some, but if i could avoid completely removing the red base color, it woul be great. any ideas/insights?

Could you separate the lightened strands out and only paint the toner on them?

i was trying to avoid doing that, there are a lot of highlights and it would be very time consuming. if thats the only route to go, then ill do it, but i would rather not have to.
