Karen has an interesting article called "Short Hair Style Selection -
Finding Your Best Hairstyle"

http://www.hairboutique.com/tips/tip180031.htm - http://www.hairboutique.com/tips/tip180031.htm

Under Factors to weigh with short hairstyles, one that is listed as something that many stylists may not mention is Age appropriateness for desired style.

What are some examples of short styles that are not appropriate for certain ages?

I think it depends more on the mental and emotional age of the woman than the physical-- I've seen older women who look amazing in spiky, funky hair that most people would probably consider "too young" for their age.  I've also seen very serious young women who were perfectly suited to very conservative styles that some might consider "too mature" or boring for someone that age.

Of course, this post is coming from a 30-year-old who dyed her hair blue last weekend. . . and is now bummed that it's already faded to more of a bluish tint. . . so take this as you will.

More awesome than a manatee!
