I have been wearing clip ins that look great for over a year. I made them myself and they are perfect. I just wear 2 rows in back for a little fullness. ( see pic of me in clip ins).
Well, I decided to get my first "permanent" extensions yesterday for a trip out west with my boyfriend. Thought it would make the daily routine easier not having to fumble with clip ins.
OMG!!!! They are HORRIBLE. She made the pieces way to fat and chunky and used synthetic hair that looks like horse hair just after one night. My own hair is brown and blonde with distinct red undertones. The hair she put in is dark brown and some ashy light blonde. IT looks greenish!!! OMG!!! It totally does not match at all.
My BF when he first saw it told me it looked ultra fake and did not color match at all. Imagine opening the door and hearing that from him. He is right, He is an ignorant man and just was honest.
The stylist is meeting me this morning with the plan of cutting the extensions and shaping them and she wants to dye my own hair on top to match better.what??? No way.I am taking them out and going back to clip ins that I know look good. I am athletic and like taking them out to workout anyhow. I am pissed, though. now I have to spend all day prying these strands out w/ pliars. ( She used prostyle method w/ no glue, thank God. They come out pretty easily ) and then I need to make a new set of clip ins for my trip.
I am pissed. I want my money back. I paid $600 for this cr*p in my head. I should have listened to my gut feeling. She did not have a portfolio and the sample hair did not look good. Is it right to ask for the $$ back? I was at teh most posh salon in my city. I figured she knw what she was doing and her own pics looked good. Of course, cause she did nto install it on herself!!! This might be a really expensive stupid mistake.
Any advice on how I should approach her? My mom owns a salon. She would refund. She wants happy customers. This sucks.
