Have any of you experienced extend magic slipping?

I installed D-lux with extend magic on a girl about to weeks ago, and yesterday she called me saying that about half had slipped out. Its not shedding, its the entire bond/strand of hair that comes out.

Luckily she have not thrown the hair out, so I´m going to se her in 2 days to reinstall.

She claims to have had clean hair when she came here, and she bought a loop-brush from me, so I think se is treating it allright.

Its the second time she have had extensions from me. The last time, she had fusion. Half way through the install she called me because of shedding. When I saw her alle of the keratin bonds were white and did not hold anything in. I reheatet the bonds, and put in more hair, and did not hear any more, so I guess she was doing fine the rest of that install.

Do you have any ideas f what could be wrong?

Here is a pic of the fresh installed hairbonds:

Hmm, sounds odd to me, maybe she is playing with/picking at the bonds?

I hate Extendmagic.  I don't think that enough glue comes out with one pull of the trigger, maybe that's the problem.  I had nothing but problems with the clients that I tried that method on, so I don't use it anymore.

Me too, its the same for me, I just tend to use EM around the sides and top.  I don't trust it for a full head anymore its not worth the hassle.  I don't think its true that the glue is unaffected.  I don't think the glue in the cartridges is consistent.  I think there are good and bad batches.  I've personally worn this method twice, the first time I didn't lose any bonds and had nil shedding at all.  The second time my head itched like mad and even though I hardly lost any bonds I had a lot of shedding compared to first time, its just too inconsistent to use really.  I don't think the machines that Hibraid sell were tested enough.  I know someone who has the braid machine and that keeps tangling the hair up in it.

Hello girls!

I love my machine for those clients who come in with the shedding hairlocs hair that needs to be retipped.  This beats glue guns and hot boxes.
It is true that the glue is not enough and you really have to coat that strand 3x.

I find that with any fusion extensions, you have to wash the hair really good and get it squeaky clean w/o conditioner.  Then you wait 48 hours before the first shampoo so that the glue sets.

As for the BraidMagic, once I start to braid, I gradually pull it down to prevent the braids coiling up.

Hope this helps

I still like the concept of the EM and did some experimenting the other day when I did Asinamons hair. I took the glue off from the cartridge and used my machine that gets real real hot and the bonds came out perfect. It wasn't the most ideal way to do extensions but it worked. The machine has flaws, the glue gets stuck and you have to stop and clean it out but I still like the machine for pretipping.
I bet if there were two layers of glue instead of one it would work better. Sometimes I just threw in a glue pellet for extra glue while I used the EM.

Average price is about $650 I think.
