Your work is gorgeous.

Do you have any favorite preference in hair that you use, Ashley?

Thank you! I use European hair and I love it, I also use Russian hair which is the best but it is very expensive.

Is Flat-tracks a brand or a technique?

Your work is beautiful.

i think i remember seeing you on the show (laguna beach).. your flat-tracks technique was using liquid gold glue and wefts, right?

i love how you blend the diff. colors of blonde, you did such a good job  -- i always have a problem with that when dealing with my own hair..

btw. where do you get your hair from? -it looks good

We like it when people share on this board :)

'exclusive techniques' and 'super secret amazing methods' are usually misleading advertisments i've found in the past.

Do you use micro-rings? Am I getting warmer or colder (did you ever play that game as a kid?)

Did you do the girl's hair for prom on the show Laguna Beach? Was it this method? Why did they take their extensions out right after the prom?

Sharing hair tips and information is one thing, but I don't think anyone should have to share trade secrets if they develop a unique extensions technique.. I have know PLENTY of stylists who are very willing to give hair care tips and information, but will not give up some of their "secret" tricks.. I think as long as Ashley is participating and contributing in the discussions in the same spirit as everyone else, she shoudn't have to give up something she considers a trade secret.. There's PLENTY to discuss in the world of extensions, and if she contributes to those discussions, plays well with others, and follows the rules like everyone else, I'm cool with that..

Yeah, I guess DivaV is right. Oh well
I'm actually more interested in hearing about Kristen and Alex. I loved
watching that show!

That makes sense that the girls had to take the hair out for editing. Here I thought this was a reality show.

I thought Kristen and Alex's extensions looked really good!! You did a good job!!

Isn't the 'flat tracks'  the method that uses microrings that Cybermane does?

If there's actually a way that's truely unique to put in wefts that no one here has thought of, I'd like to hear it.  Otherwise I'm skeptical that it's just a reworking or a common method that we all know about.

Good luck with the patenting process.   Mark Barrington got his patent on shrink links about 13 years ago and now people all over the Internet sell shrink tubes.

yeah hairlocs has a patent too!!!!
took years to get and by the time they got the patent, everyone was selling the supplies and doing their method!
i agree with you Diva, and  i too look foward to hearing from Ash as well.

hi ashley, advertising is actually not allowed, and its a discussion forum, so when you come here and say that you have an "exclusive" technique, of course people are going to ask questions. Its the nature of the beast!

Thats what we do here...discuss techniques and ask questions.  And what you are talking about is patenting a process that probably isnt an 'original' idea and most likely just a reworking of a common method (as metal said) so of course its going to be a topic for debate.

Hi,

Please..when people see this...please click on Report and let us know so we can delete it ASAP or please email me at mailto:shelton@hairboutique.com - shelton@hairboutique.com or send a bmail to admin.  We try to get to these quickly but we need your help.  I deleted several ads yesterday but people put them up faster than I can always get to them.

All of her threads are being deleted.

Ironically...when we contact people like this that "advertise" here before we catch them, they are never ever willing to even buy an ad in our salon directory which is inexpensive.  They just want to advertise "for free".  Figures doesn't it?  I guess they figure it is free for us to run these boards.  But I digress.....sorry for my moment of frustration.

Thanks in advance for your help spotting the squatters.
Karen
