I have very thick, curly hair that I usually wear in longish layers at around shoulder legnth.  My hair has been pretty much the same for nearly ten years now, with some variation when I get too busy to get it cut, but lately I've been thinking about going shorter (not SHORT, just shorter).  Unfortunately, it's really hard to find short hairstyles for my kind of hair.  Any ideas for possible styles?

where do you live i can help you find a salon that specializes in curly hair that away you get a great style.

I actually have a stylist who's great with curly hair, and I trust her completely.  I just want to have some sort of idea going in before telling her to cut it much shorter.

While short curls are cute on some I urge you to try a wig of the style you want and see if you really want it. Then take into consideration the stlying efforts. If you really want short curls go on the net, magazines, whatever and find some short cuts similar to your hair type and if you salonist is real good ask them to cut it in that shape in the pic.
