| I dye my hair blonde...i'm naturally dirty blonde. My hair is just too orange looking. I tried dying it a different color/brand and my hair turned purple and it was just a mess! Its orange blonde again and I want it white blonde...more white at least. Is there anything I can put in it? Something easy...safe...not risky. Even something that can wash out, idk. Something that can brighten the hair color that might make my hair not look so orange? Any input? |

I'm not an expert but I'm guessing that if it's too orange, and you would like it more "white" you probably didn't leave the bleach on long enough. Since you're a natural blonde, I would imagine a high lift color would have done the trick -- is that what you used? Anyway, here are a few things I use in combatting my brassiness. I don't know if this will help you at the stage you're at right now though ... I have been using Jhirmack shampoo for silver hair (I'm blonde though/the shampoo is PURPLE). Then I use Fanciful Rinse in White Minx -- after your comb out your hair you squirt it in and leave it in. And sometimes I also use John Freida Sheer Blonde Mousse (it's purple). Since my stylist can't ever seem to get my hair quite right, I took it upon myself to take me to that white stage that I love so much and that's what does it. Really, it's NOT a lot of work, like it sounds.  |

 In order for me to better help you what type of haircolor did you use...semi-permanent? permanent? demi-permanent? What brand was it?
You've done 3 color processes in what period of time? DON'T DO ANOTHER COLOR PROCESS ANYTIME SOON! You don't want to overprocess and damage your hair because damage CANNOT be repaired. It can only be managed with conditioners, leave-in conditioners, etc until you cut it off.
The easiest, safest thing you can do is to deep condition your hair to put that moisture back into the hairstrands that the color took out to prevent brittle, lifeless hair and possibly breakage.
I'd recommend going to a salon and having the color professionally fixed. If that's not an option try to be more informative and I will try to better help you.

I'm not an expert either, but I do have some basic knowledge. First, did you use bleach? If so, then you didn't leave it on long enough to lift it up to blond. If you used a drugstore perm. color, then the developer wasn't strong enough to lift you past the orange stage.
I can't give suggestions on how to fix it, since I'm new at this mylself. I'd leave it alone right now and get to a salon to have it fixed. Last time I colored using drugstore stuff (Nice n' Easy) it came out too orangy, but because my hair is ash based naturally, it faded into a nice color after several days. Next time I'm using a pro color from Sally's with a violet base to lighten me up a few levels, and hopefully eliminate the orange. I'm only doing this on my own after I studied up on what to use, like Claude mentioned. Otherwise, I'd leave it to the pros.

Claude- I did do 3 color processes back in Feb...my hair has recovered. I just dye the roots now. But ive resorted back to my original hair dye because the other hair dyes i used made my hair purple. It's a permanent..Revlon brand. Ive used this Natural L'oreal stuff from Sally's..could that have made my hair more orange...because it seems more orange than usual... ahh idk, I hate orange. |
