I love the protac but after a few weeks the individual nonattached hair in between get sticky and I can't seem to get them clean, it's like they have a protac residue.  Any recommendations on a shampoo to help remove the breaking down protac but not the protac itself?  Thanks!

all you can really do is try to wash the area well. Mine get like that too after a few weeks, but usually doesnt get too bad that its bothersome.

i had the very same problem when i first started using protac....i was using a moisturizing shampoo(a sulfate free one), but after a couple of weeks i had slimy sticky stuff on the underside of the protac

so now: i use either neutrogena clear shampoo, suave daily clarifying (also clear) or Pantene claryfing (ok, my bathroom has a lot of shelves) up against my scalp and work it in well under each row of tape
(note: i use the moisturizing nonsulfate shampoo for the length of my extension hair, and only use the conditioner on the length too)

also....when i first started with the protac i was trying to only shampoo two or three times a week...i've decided my scalp is too oily for that, the oil had to be what was breaking down the tape so quickly.  since it became summertime i've been shampooing daily or every other day and i have no stickyness now at week four of my current install
