I think those are large senegalese twists. If so you can use Kanekalon hair.

please, please, please someone tell me how to add extensions to twists in a way that won't let them slip
do i add the right gel, beeswax, shea butter?
how do i tighten the extensions at the base of the scalp?
please help me...

She used to wear braids a lot when she was younger in the late 90s.  This is just synthetic hair, toyakalon or kankaleon (sp?) from the bss.  Start it off with braiding for an inch or so, then start twisting for the rest of the length.  The braiding at the roots will hold it in place and keep it from slipping.  HTH

Just as everyone stated it could be a lacefront in the senegalese twist or just individual senagalease twist used with braiding hair...basically its the same technique you would use if your doing kinky twist just with a different hair texture (such as toyokalon, Kanekalon, other synthetic fibers). HTH
