Well ladies.. I don't know WHAT the problem is, but I think I've narrowed down the possible culprit.. Internet Explorer!!!

I have been posting on the BHM and Hair Boutique forums all day from my Mac using the Firefox browser. (BHM's forum uses the same software and has the same posting errors) I had no issues on the Mac, so I decided to install Firefox on my PC to see if the script errors would stop using a different browser..

and guess what?? So far so good.. No script errors, no errors telling me that my post is empty, no issues whatsoever.. Then I looked in the forum help and discovered this little gem:

Quote What web browser can I use for this forum? All of the latest, most popular, web browsers on both Windows XP, and the Apple MAC OS X can be used with this forum, including; Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Firefox, Safari, Netscape, Opera, and other variants of these browsers. Although all these browsers can be used for this forum, we highly recommend using http://getfirefox.com/ - Firefox on all platforms.

Apparently this forum software is optimized for the Firefox browser.. (No wonder IE is giving everyone the blues) So that's it.. as of today I'll be using the Firefox browser instead of IE.. Firefox was pretty easy to install, and converted all of my IE settings (bookmarks, saved passwords, cookies, etc). Firefox is actually a cool browser anyway.. Tabbed browsing means I can open multiple websites from one browser window and toggle back and forth between them.. (Great for when you check/logon more than one forum/site)

Here's the caveat for a smooth conversion to Firefox.. DON'T convert cookies during the intial program launch.. The old IE cookies will not work when you try to login to some of your fav sites.. So either skip the cookie conversion or clear cookies after you install Firefox.. Here's the link to download Firefox if you're interested.. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ - http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

Hope that helps anyone interested..

Interesting info, Diva! Does Firefox make it easier to post pictures as well? Without going through a technically complicated procedure that only my SO (who is a software designer) can do, I have been unable to post pics on the hair sites with my Mac. I assumed it was my Mac causing the problem, but maybe it is because I've been using Safari as my browser?

Oh yeah definitely.. Girl I stopped using Safari IMMEDIATELY.. Can't stand that browser.. Firefox is the best way to go for the Mac..
