I recently had individual braids for the first time with human hair and I had them in for 1 month and 1/2 and I had a lot of hair come out and tangled when I removed them. I used my usual braid removal spray, but I never have seen so mu char come out of my head. It got to the point where I had to cut some of the braids out of my hair. I am currently transitioning an was hoping to use cornrows and individuals to transition with, but I'm not sure if I took the individuals out incorrectly or if my hair just didn't like the human hair. If anyone has had this problem or know what could have went wrong please respond.

dont forget that all the while you have been wearing the braids your natural hair will continue to shed at its normal rate but cant fall away from the head so when you remove your braids you get all that shed hair come out at once! can be scary but i normally wear wool dreads for 3 months and now know to expect lots of hair to come out when i remove them!

Thanks for all the info. I was truely scared I was going bald. I used ease out braid spray along with unbraiding. It helps with the process of taking it out.

Yes you do just unbraid, but the braid sprays helps to soften the hair and ease any tangles from the braids as you remove them..

Where can you get unbraid. Is that a brand or just a general name. I think I need to stock some of this just in case I get another client with a hair disaster like I saw the other day.

This is interesting...this braid spray. I have pinchbraids in. I was supposed to get them re-done this week...but have had to re-schedule for next week. It's been 8 weeks so these suckers have really grown down and they need to come out. I have noticed a few are starting to "marry" with one another now. I am thinking of having my mom remove them for me this week so my head can have a break for a few days too. Would this braid spray be good for pinchbraid removal as well? Since a few are starting to "hook up"...I was thinking it could help ease them out without having to rip or cut?

Well I use African Pride ease out braid removal spray. It helps seperate the synthetic hair from your hair. It moisturizes and helps detangle if you comb after removing braids in sections of the hair.

Unbraid is what you do when you take the braids out. I use a braid removal spray by African pride to help me unbraid my hair.
