Hello everyone! Do you think that red is nicer as a standalone solid color or with highlights? If you prefer red with highlights, what shade do you think looks best?

red with darker red lowlights is my favorite ------------- learn to love what you were born with you can do anything if you set your mindto it (just dont try this with hair,that could turn out bad) |

I think red stands out most without the need for highlights. Also, if you wear makeup, the highlights with makeup may seem like a little too much maintenaince. At least that's what I've decided for my red/brown hair, and when my hair is red/red. What I mean by makeup is if you wear shimmery pigments on your eyes, or have a strong makeup eye w/ light lipstick, or light makeup eye with strong lipstick.
I also think that red with highlights is beautiful, like what Bryan suggested above, or red with light caramel highlights is pretty too. You could always put a few highlights framing your face, and not all over the head.
