Bad hair days, that's all I've known for 3 to 4 years now. I recently cut, bad idea, problem still there.
I've got blonde hair, lots of new hairs grays/silvers, all different lengths, rather coarse and flyaway, my whole head has the appearance of breakage. What can I do, if anything, to regain control of my locks.
I'm open to your ideas and suggestions.

Hi,
Sorry to hear about your hair. Hair problems can be so frustrating.
When hair acts like your hair is acting I would strongly suggest that you do see your primary care physician to evaluate if there are any medical conditions you may not be aware of. It may be possible that you have a thyroid condition or hormonal imbalances or other physical problems that is showing up in your hair.
Hair breakage usually happens from a variety of factors which includes certain medications, stress or illness or even nutritional deficiencies.
A hair stylist should be able to talk to you about the physical manifestations of the breakage and how to contain it and even work towards fixing it. What is causing it? Could be many of the factors that I mentioned which is something you and maybe a health care physician will need to help you understand and address.
I would suggest getting your hair trimmed so that you have any damaged hair removed. Then I would start a program of deep conditioning to soften the hair you hair. I would also evaluate if you have had a major life change that included new stress, new medication, disease or other physical problems that might cause your hair to break.
Best wishes, Karen
