If someone wanted to use human hair in a microlinks method, should they use the pre-tipped hair? Wouldn't the glue wear a little into the natural hair if they washed it with hot water? Or is there something better to use than pre-tipped hair?

yes using pretipped hair is your best option. Otherwise you would have too much slipping and shedding. You may get a tiny bit of glue that may transfer to your hair. But it would be very minimal and remove easily with dab of orange remover or acetone. The worst you might get would be a little sticky spot, if any.

any bond that is on pretipped hair, installed into a micro link, once it is removed, it will wash out with shampoo, no need to apply anything, i do this all day long and it comes out with shampoo,
good luck

i've got a question about pretips and microring. i got a sample pretip so that i can make my own, and i noticed that the tip is really long. what do you do with all that pretip? do you cut the tip to the length of the ring or just put in the end and whatever's not in the ring will soften up?

you can trim it. Dont cut it too short otherwise it may shed. But yes you can definitely trim the tips down some.

Yeah i was wondering about that too...good to know that it cant be cut too short! Do you think putting nail glue on the ends if theyve been cut would be a good idea? to make extra sure they wont shed lol

I would, I did that with my tips and it helped with the shedding.

Absolutely. Have done this many times myself. Squeeze a couple drops onto a slick magazine sheet and roll and dab just the tip and end, hang over the edge of something to dry and voila! Don't touch too soon. Wearing extensions on the ends of one's fingers is not a good look.
