I have very dry thick curly hair now. I feel my hair is now more drier than it has been. I been using leave in conditioner and regular conditioner.I am drinking plenty of water. I was told that. I also feel my hair is like dried twigs. My hair is always been dry not this bad.  Is there something I can do to get it back to not feeling like dry twigs?

You could try using silicone products.  Pantene conditioners have lots of cones in them.  Also, there are tons of silicone "glosses" in the drugstore that will help your hair 'look' better.  But, if your hair is truly damaged, the only thing that helps is to cut it off.

Also, how is your diet?  A diet with lots of protein and veggies will help your hair be healthier.  I used to eat sugars and junk food and had a bad health problem, but after I got better, and make sure I eat more protein, my hair is so much healthier.

Goodluck!!!

Don't forget your protein!!!  I've always heard that women never eat enough protein, and that is a major YES for healthy hair.

What kind of products are you using? what is your regimen? how often do you wash your hair?

Do not use Pantene, it has alot of bad ingredients in it. But I won't get into that right now. If you are serious about getting your hair back to health (or at least buffering the damage while you grow it out) you're going to have to invest some money on good products, and some time and energy. You are going to need to protein treatments, and good deep conditioning.

Let me know what you are using right now and I might be able to help.

Good luck and great hair

I agree with Sharyq11, in that Pantene Shampoos are terrible, they contain a very dry and irritating ingredient called ammonium xylenesulfonate.  (according to Paula Begoun, Don't Go Shopping for Hair-Care Products Without Me, 3rd edition)

I recommended Pantene 'conditioners' above, which are excellent for hair.
