I got my haircut against the grain instead of with the grain, because my barber showed me that WTG doesn't really cut anything off.  I got a #2 against the grain and it f**ked up my waves pattern that was coming in.  I read somewhere on here that getting a #3 with the grain is OK.  My hair is starting to lay flat from hella brushin but my wave pattern is only coming in a little.  I plan on growing it out for 4 weeks and then getting a #3 WTG.  What should I do?

It sounds like to me you had a rookie barber cause I get wtg all the time. In fact the last hair cut I got was wtg and to much of my hair got cut off then . But as long as you don’t go below your wave length you should be ok.

Like i always say #3ATG is perfect, pic below. #2ATG is low like Chris brown height, but waves will come back in a wk. For me when i use to get that low cut i put in the 360 and you still could feel/see the waves on top.

That's another thing, I don't use no pomades or wave products so it's harder for me to get waves.  Plus my hair don't curl up so quickly.  I only use carrot creme.  I tried the scurl wave gel, but it gave me some pimples.  My skin reacts that quick to things that build up and block my pores.

that doesnt slow down ur wave process at all, pomade does absolutely nothing to help your waves. and if your hair doesnt curl up quikly, thenwait till it does before u start brushing

I've already started brushing a lot.  I've been brushing like crazy B.  Is it a bad thing to start brushing before your hair starts to curl up (wave point) or does it make a difference?  I don't really have many waves developing yet, but my hair is smooth and it's laying down pretty good.
