Hi everybody,
I have read a lot of good stuff on the Bohyme Remy Hair and would like to ask precise questions to those of you who tried it.
My biggest concern is how long the hair stays beautiful, shinny and healthy looking.
So far all the hair I have tried (Jet Set, Glamour Hair, and other brands I have forgotten) looks dull after a few weeks, but they don't have the best treatments w/ me because I have to wash/blowdry/straighten my hair everyday . (I have fine hair that gets oily quite fast, and I exercise often)
- So how long do you think Bohyme Remy Hair would stay good looking ?
- After how much time do you start having tangle problems?
- Have you witnessed dry ends?
- Does this hair get lighter and loose a bit of its colour after a while? (all the hair I have used gets a little "whiter" after a while)
I use wefted hair and do the pretip myself so that I can mix colours, get my exact colour (between 24-14-22), and also have minimum shedding.
So all the problems linked to the weft don't bother me.
Thank you so much for all your future comments, it's very helpful!
Frenchie
PS: I think someone in this forum mentionned that the blonde colours of Bohyme were the same as the ones of Glamourhair, is that true?

Shampooing everyday will dry the hair out. Are you using a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner?

hi, i have had mine in now, since june i had a full head , but i did pull a lot out myself could not stop meddling with them , so i when back for a top up about 3 weeks ago, mine allways looked nice so everyone told me they hardly ever got tangled , i carn't belive how easy it is to get comb , brush through even when washed from previous hair iv'e had in . i honestly dont think i would ever have any other hair in now , i love this, it does sometimes go a little dry on the ends but after a bit of serum it looks brillliant . but i carn't belive how shiny and tangle free it is . i would recommend it to anyone .
ps, mine is col no 613 with main colour 24/ 27 mixed and a few dark brown undernith

I have worn Bohyme up to a year and it was still in good shape.
I never have tangling problems, and I have been using this hair for many years on myself and my clients.
No dry ends.
I don't think the blonds lighten up at all, but some of the darker colors do a little bit.
I think that Glamour Hair is selling Bohyme. Their prices are expensive though. I buy from superhairfactory.com or ebonyline.com

Thanks for you comments girls!
To answer Shirilyn, yes I use pantene shampoos and conditioner.
Metalgirl, Glamourhair claim on their website to have their own factory where they process the hair. So it can't be Bohyme as well.
Tangle free+ shine are really the selling arguments to me because with my lifestyle, I get tangled+dull hair, even with the glamourhair.
So I guess I'm gonna try this stuff soon! Thanks so much

Oh, another question girls:
Which quality of hair do you use?
On http://www.ebonyline.com - www.ebonyline.com you find two qualities of blonde hair available in weaving 18' , silky straight texture :
- The Bohyme Blonde Weaving Hair 18', described as "100% Remy Human Hair" whose price is $140
- The Bohyme Gold Silky Straight 18', handtied but not described as Remy hair, whose price is $105 + $10 or $12 for light colours
Has anybody tried both? Which one would you recommend?
Thanks again!

- So how long do you think Bohyme Remy Hair would stay good looking ?
I've reused this hair twice in colour 613 on a few clients but they've taken good care of it, used a heat defence spray etc
- After how much time do you start having tangle problems?
I'd say tangles start after refitting twice with it
- Have you witnessed dry ends?
I've only witnessed dry ends on people who don't use protective products
- Does this hair get lighter and loose a bit of its colour after a while? (all the hair I have used gets a little "whiter" after a while)
This hair keeps its colour in the 613 but loses its shine with the blonde mixes x

Amanda , can you use any heat protector spray ,or would it be better to use a special one just for extensions . truthfully i dont use one but i am gonna use one now after your post , and can you recommend a good conditioner rather than buying stuff at £10 - £15 a bottle just for extensions as they say conditioner is bad for your bonds dont they
thanks for your help

I recommend the new nicky clarke one, its in a red bottle but use it sparingly, or swarqkof (can't spell it lol) does one with a pink top that protects up to 200 degrees which I think is brill. They do a dove conditioner, its in a little pot that's good but I highly recommend Goldwell Kerasilk treatment conditioner, I buy cheap shampoo, sometimes even use my hubby's shower gel lol but I always always use the Goldwell Conditioner cos you can run your fingers straight through like silk. They do a shampoo again but if you're wanting to cut cost get a normal shampoo like pantene or elvive or something and then just invest in the kerasilk conditioner x

frenchie, heres a picture of Bohyme after I took it out. I wore this hair for a few installs with pro-tac. I used it for 4 months. As you can see its still in really good shape. The ends are a little dry and split, but if I trim this hair and condition it well, I can reuse it again for some of my top shorter layers. I never had any tangling at all. I highly recommend the use of non-sulfate shampoos and if you live in an area with chlorinated water and dont have a water softener system, invest in a shower filter. These 2 things will extend the life of any hair extensions

Hi Sherrie!
Thanks for your comments!
Do you know where to get non sulfate shampoos?
I am going to shop for that this week. Sherrie, can you tell me what is the bad thing about sulfate shampoos on extensions ?
I will also enquire about the shower filter.
The hair you show on the picture is wonderful! And looks shiny too!It looks new to me!I should show you my hair after a month, it isn't as nice as that!!
I will receive skin weft straight from Glamourhair this week in 18', the next hair I'll order wil be Bohyme, for sure!!

Sulfates are very harsh. SLS (sodium laurel sulfates) is the ingredient used for lathering. Its also used in products like engine degreasers! Check out the article I put together on the home page of my website. Scroll down near the bottom of the page and there is an article called "why should you use sulfate free products?'

Great information, I have never heard of this before and it looks pretty serious. I can't believe the controversy on this isn't bigger or better known!

I just threw away my Bohyme after 3 months. I did really like the
hair in general, way better than the JetSet imo. I did notice a
good bit of tangling and major split ends after a few months, but
nothing a ton of silicone and smoothing stuff coudn't cure. I
haven't had much experience with blonde hair though.
The wierd thing is, I had two different packages of hair in......one
that I dyed to match my color and the other I did not. The hair I
dyed actually held up much longer, wierd huh?
I'd definitely use this hair again if I was still blonde, since I went
back to a level 2 (my natural color) I'm back to the virgin
indian. You can't beat that stuff for staying power!!

Yes im happier with synthetic hair im a blonde and its not easy to find good human hair out there.....bohyme is one of the better brands but i need 11/2 to 2 packs thats to expensive for 6 weeks ...the hair im wearing now can be ironed (as long as its thermofiber like wawa or PH powerlon) this hair im wearing in the avatar is wawa
synthetic haircare is slightly different from human haircare

Thanks for your comments girl!
Aimee, I am curious about synthetic hair.
Can you tell me more?
- How often do you wash them?
- Do you have to use a special shampoo/conditionner?
- How long does it remain nice looking?
- Do you have tangle problems and when does the hair get dull?
- Finally, is your choice of synthetic hair over natural only economic or would you still choose synthetic hair over bohyme if it was the same price for both?
You should try fusion, how come you have to use that much hair?

According to the Ebolynine.com customer service, there IS a difference in terms of quality between "Bohyme Blonde Weaving" and "Bohyme Gold Weaving", the 1st one being of a higher quality.
Here is their email:
Thank you for your inquiry. Bohyme Blonde and Bohyme Gold are two different collections offered by Bohyme. The Bohyme Blonde is a higher quality hair based on the manufacturing process it goes through. All Bohyme hair is Remi and cuticles all the same direction to prevent tangling. I hope that this has answered your questions. Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.
Sincerely, www.ebonyline.com Customer Service
